Terms of Use

These Terms explain the rules for using LineBuddy. By creating an account or using LineBuddy, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
1. Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use govern your access to LineBuddy, including the website, private beta, and related rehearsal tools (collectively, the Service). By creating an account, accepting an invite, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. LineBuddy is independently operated and is not a product or service of GetMotivatedBuddies.
2. Private beta
LineBuddy is an early, invite-only beta. Features may change, be unavailable, contain errors, or be removed. We may limit, pause, or end the beta or an account at any time to protect users, comply with law, or improve the Service. Your feedback is welcome, but participation is voluntary and does not create a right to continued access, compensation, or support.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials private, and promptly act if you believe your account has been used without permission. The Service is not intended for children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use LineBuddy only with any parent, guardian, school, or other permission required by applicable law.
4. Your scripts, recordings, and other content
You retain ownership of the scripts, sides, recordings, notes, and other content you upload or create in LineBuddy (Your Content). You give LineBuddy a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and display Your Content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Service. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and use Your Content. Do not upload confidential material, another person's private information, or material you are not authorized to use.
5. Generated output and rehearsal tools
LineBuddy may generate voices, transcriptions, parsing results, timing, line prompts, or other automated output. These tools are aids for rehearsal, not a guarantee of accuracy or completeness. Review output before relying on it. You remain responsible for your use of the output and for complying with the rights attached to any source material.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service; access another person's account or content; interfere with security or normal operation; bypass limits or access controls; scrape, reverse engineer, or use automated means to extract the Service or its data; upload malware or unlawful material; infringe another person's rights; or use LineBuddy to develop, train, or operate a competing service. We may investigate and restrict activity that presents a security, legal, or operational risk.
7. Feedback
If you send feedback, bug reports, ideas, or suggestions, you give LineBuddy permission to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not give us ownership of Your Content.
8. Third-party services and future paid features
The Service may rely on third-party infrastructure, storage, analytics, diagnostics, payment, or AI-related services. Their availability and terms may affect the Service. If LineBuddy later offers paid features, the pricing and payment terms shown at the time of purchase will apply in addition to these Terms.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINEBUDDY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, SECURITY, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. LINEBUDDY IS NOT ACTING OR PERFORMING ADVICE AS AN ACTING COACH, EMPLOYER, AGENT, MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, ATTORNEY, OR OTHER LICENSED PROFESSIONAL.
10. Limits of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINEBUDDY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Ending access and changes
You may stop using LineBuddy at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms, create risk for others, or if the beta ends. We may update these Terms as LineBuddy develops. We will post the revised version and effective date here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.
12. Questions or notices
During the private beta, use the same channel through which you received your LineBuddy invite for questions about these Terms or notices concerning the Service. We may provide a dedicated public contact method as the product expands.
